  • JMSG offers an optional Cornerstone from 8-8:55am - a period of time before the start of each school day for girls to land, connect, and launch. Here are some photos capturing a typical morning.
  • Girls can drop into open-ended activities such as Tinkering Stations.
  • Catching up on quiet reading.
  • Connecting with Head of School Sandra Luna (and honorary JMSGer Hem the dog) who greets the students everyday at the front door.

  • In 7th Grade Art class students created a tessellation and carved it into the stamp.

  • Seventh graders learn how to use a microscope and begin sketching their observations in Science class.
  • Students in 6th Grade STEAM learn about earthquakes and construct shake tables. The girls were asked to build the highest structure they could with the materials provided.  As a class they talked about foundations and how the architecture and materials used on the West Coast are greatly affected by the fact that we live in an earthquake zone (the Ring of Fire).
