JMSG Faculty Headed to Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History Seminar

After a highly competitive selection process, Lorraine will attend a seminar this summer at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. The seminar is sponsored and partially paid for by the Gilder Lehrman Institute. Founded in 1994, the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History is a nonprofit organization devoted to the improvement of history education. A favorite topic that Lorraine teaches in 8th Grade American History is the impact of the philosophy of the Enlightenment on the development of American democracy and the revolution, so she is very excited to be attending this seminar in July: Thomas Jefferson and the Enlightenment. She's looking forward to learning additional facts and ideas to bring back to Julia Morgan!
