Thank you for your interest in the Julia Morgan School for Girls. We are delighted to share our community with you. We encourage you to explore our website to discover the things that make Julia Morgan School the place where middle school girls, grades six through eight, flourish personally and academically and become the “confident, capable, creative and compassionate women of tomorrow.”
Our school is a place where students are engaged learners, eager to discover new things about themselves and the world. Our students are thoughtful, energetic and participate in every role available to them; they are the speakers, thinkers, writers, singers, artists, scientists, athletes, actors, and leaders. During their years at JMSG, students experience tremendous academic and personal growth, self-awareness and transformation as they begin to discover who they are, own their maturing identity and make their personal mark here. Over and over, girls describe their lives at school as “joyous” and “fun” and “full”!
Our teachers are passionate educators. They understand how to support and relate to girls during their middle school years and are deeply committed to the success of each student.
We understand that you and your family have big decisions to make. Once you’ve had a chance to look through our website, we invite you to click here

Director of Admission/Assistant Head of School
Asst. Head of School/Admission Director
Marcia, a graduate of Simmons College with a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Wheelock College, brings a wealth of experience to the position. Before coming to JMSG, she was the Director of Admissions at Lick-Wilmerding High School in San Francisco for five years. Prior to this, she was the Director of Admissions and Public Relations at St. Mary's College High School in Berkeley. Earlier in her career, she served as the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid for Simmons College School of Social Work. Marcia also worked in San Francisco at Public Affairs Management, an environmental and public relations consulting firm from 1990 to 1994. Marcia is quite familiar with JMSG, having served on the board since the "founding days." She has been committed to our mission from the beginning and was very helpful in creating admission and financial aid practices for us before the school opened. Her extensive background in admissions and administration are invaluable as we build our community.
Assistant Director of Admission
Keri is part of the Admission and Finance team. She moved to the Bay Area from Los Angeles to attend Mills College. While at Mills, she spent three years as an intern for the JMSG Admission Office. During this time Keri was involved in every aspect of the admission process from answering phone calls to event planning. After receiving her B.A. in Child Development she spent a year working as a preschool teacher. We are thrilled to have Keri back in the Admission Office.
