Reflecting on Leadership

A Better Chance (ABC) Program Manager for the Northwest Region Erica Hernandez moderated panelists Sandra Luna, JMSG Head of School, Brittany Jones, Corporate Counsel, Autodesk (ABC Alumna), Pancho Jimenez, Senior Lecturer of Art and Art History, Santa Clara University, and Lande Ajose, Executive Director of California Competes on the topic of “Reflecting on Leadership.” The workshop was attended by person and online audiences of middle and high school A Better Chance Scholars who intend to take leadership in their respective member schools and who plan to attend a 4-year college following secondary school. A Better Chance's mission is to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society. Given the shifting demographics, expansion of technology, internationalization, and evolving set of global issues, the insight shared by the panel will help guide these future leaders as they consider what it means to be a leader in the 21^st Century.
