Our Admission Process

Steps to Apply

List of 5 items.

  • #1 Visit JMSG

    Attend Program Showcase (evening/family event)
The Program Showcase evening event is designed to inform prospective parents about the JMSG culture, curriculum, and community. Parents will also have the opportunity to participate in demonstration classes and speak with students and JMSG parents.

We encourage you to bring your 5th or 6th grade daughter (no siblings please). While parents participate in the Program Showcase, guest students will participate in activities that showcase "A Day in the Life of a JMSG student" and include a question and answer session and a tour of the school. This will be your daughter's opportunity to get to know us better.

We strongly recommend this option before scheduling your Parent Tour.

Attend Parent Tour (daytime/parents and guardians only event) required for all applicant families
The Parent Tour is designed to deepen your understanding of how we live the philosophy and curriculum in our community on a daily basis. The Head of School and Assistant Head of School will respond to questions that may not have been deeply addressed or may have arisen since your attendance at the Program Showcase evening event. Tour dates are Wednesdays & Fridays, 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

At least one parent or guardian must attend the Parent Tour for each applicant. You are welcome to tour the school before applying; if you do so, your tour will have fulfilled the requirement.

Please note the Parent Tour is for 5th and 6th grade parents only. Are you an interested 3rd or 4th grade parent? CLICK HERE to RSVP for our Spring Admission Preview on Friday, May 3, 2019.

Sibling Applicant Information

For Sibling Families* only:

Julia Morgan School for Girls understands the benefits of having daughters in the same family attending the School. However, what is right for one child may not necessarily be the correct placement for her sister. A sibling applicant will be accepted based on the Admission Committee's determination that the student will be successful at JMSG. A sibling's admission to JMSG is not guaranteed.

*We define “sibling” as a child in a family currently enrolled at JMSG or in a family that has had a daughter or daughters graduate from JMSG. It does not include siblings of students who attended, but did not graduate from The School.
