Giving Opportunities

Throughout the years JMSG has received essential support from countless individuals, foundations, and corporations who believe in our mission and core values. This generosity has been critical to the school’s success. While tuition makes up a majority of the school’s budget, additional funds come from fundraising. These giving opportunities help bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating each girl.

  • The Girls Fund

Our number one priority continues to be 100% participation from parents, board members, staff, and faculty in The Girls Fund. The Girls Fund is the most important JMSG fundraising campaign.
The Girls Fund is our school’s annual giving campaign. The school relies on annual contributions to provide critical program support. These gifts have an immediate and direct benefit to every student and faculty member. The campaign kicks off each fall when we send a letter to all JMSG parents, board members, faculty, alum, alum parents, friends, and many of our grandparents. We ask current families to support The Girls Fund at a level that is meaningful for their family. Our goal of 100% participation from current families is just one of the many ways we live our value that we’re all in this together. No gift is too small—or too large. Broadly-supported fundraising demonstrates to corporations and foundations, from whom we seek funding, that JMSG is an organization worthy of support.

  • Athena Fund

The Athena Fund is an endowed fund restricted to benefit flexible tuition. Currently, 32% of the students who attend JMSG receive financial support. In order for the school to continue providing this level of support and ensure that girls (regardless of economic means) have the opportunity to pursue their dreams through a JMSG education, the school will continue its efforts to raise money for this endowment.
  • Mural of Women

The Mural of Women celebrates the women, renowned and lesser known, who inspire our students to pursue their dreams. A contribution of $500 to the Julia Morgan School for Girls will enable you to honor a woman who has been inspirational in your life. JMSG students will create an original ceramic tile designed specifically to celebrate your honoree. These tiles will be installed at school as part of our mural of women. Also, a one-page biography of your honoree will be included in our Book of Women, a compilation of women’s biographies kept on display at JMSG.
