JMSG Head of School Presenting at the International Symposium on Girls' Education in China

Dear Parents,

I have been offered a remarkable opportunity to present at the International Symposium on Girls’ Education in Zhenjiang, China, on 12/5 and 12/6.

The seventy invited participants attending the symposium are mostly from China’s girls’ schools or doing research on girls’ education. There will also six school heads from Hong Kong and Taiwan, two from the UK, and one from Mauritius. Researchers from both Russia and Sweden will also attend. I am the only head from the US.

The organization hosting the symposium is The Research Centre of Value Education, UNESCO Asia-Pacific Network for International Education and Values Education.

This will be my first time in China, and although a quick trip, I am honored and excited to be a part of the dialogue on girls’ education. The title of my presentation is: Improving Academic Performance through Supporting Girls' Emotional and Social Well-Being during Middle School. I look forward to sharing the JMSG program with this international gathering and talking about your daughters!
