The goal of the athletic program of Julia Morgan School is to inspire and challenge girls of all physical talents and interests to develop confidence, flexibility, strength, endurance, mental discipline, grace, and athletic skill. Physical education includes team sports (basketball, soccer, volleyball), noncompetitive games, self-defense, creative movement, and yoga. The goal for each student is that she: - feels confident and comfortable in her body
- participates in a wide variety of physical activities from diverse cultures, including sports, games, dance, and yoga
- becomes enthusiastic about some aspect of fitness, sports, or movement
- develops a life-long commitment to movement, exercise, and healthy nutrition
- strives for excellence either as a member of a team, or in individual physical pursuits
- learns from women and men who are positive role models of physical fitness and health
The location of Julia Morgan School on the campus of Mills College provides our school with wonderful sports facilities including a gymnasium, swimming pool, and sports field.
