Girls have the opportunity to learn architectural skills throughout their three years at JMSG. In sixth grade math, they design apartments to scale. In seventh grade math, while studying Japan, each girl drafts a floor plan for a Japanese house and garden. In the 8th grade art elective, girls can choose an individual focus. Projects include drafting floor plans for a house, drawing elevations and sections, creating a site plan for a town, or constructing models.
